Your rooms on every OTA, from one place

We connect Vector Guest to Channex, a channel manager, so the OTAs always show what your calendar shows. You change something once. Availability, rates and restrictions go out on their own, and bookings, changes, cancellations and guest messages come back in.

At a glance

  • Availability updates on every channel when a booking is made, changed or cancelled.
  • Rates, minimum stay, closed to arrival, closed to departure and stop-sell are all sent from Vector Guest.
  • OTA bookings, changes and cancellations arrive in real time, with a full check every day.
  • You can stop one building selling on one OTA and leave the others open.

What goes out, and what comes back

  • Availability

Sent every time a booking changes, so a room sold in one place closes everywhere else.

  • Rates

Change a rate in Vector Guest and the OTAs get it. No typing it in twice.

  • Restrictions

Minimum stay, closed to arrival, closed to departure and stop-sell, date by date.

  • Bookings

New, changed and cancelled bookings arrive as they happen, and a daily sync picks up anything that slipped through.

  • Guest messages

Airbnb, Booking.com and Expedia messages land in the same inbox as WhatsApp and email, and your replies go back to the OTA.

  • Alerts

Sync errors and pending Airbnb requests come to your team straight away, not when a guest turns up.

Setting it up

Connect your Channex account, create or map the property from one of your buildings, and match room types and rate plans inside Vector Guest. From then on, the OTAs follow the calendar in Vector Guest.

Restrictions matter as much as rates

If all you send is availability, you leave money on the table. Restrictions decide which stays can actually be booked. A minimum stay stops a busy weekend filling up with one-night bookings, and closed to arrival keeps a night sellable only as part of a longer stay.

In Vector Guest you set both on the same rate calendar, and revenue management can suggest changes to either. Whatever you apply goes to every channel.

How we keep overbookings away

  • Every booking updates every channel

Direct, OTA or made by your team on the calendar, it doesn't matter where it came from.

  • Nothing slips through

Bookings arrive as they happen, and the daily full sync catches any that didn't.

  • Problems come to you

A sync error becomes an alert for your team, not a surprise at check-in. Our glossary explains how overbookings happen.

Questions

Which OTAs can I sell on?

The ones Channex connects to, including Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia and Vrbo.

Can I pause one OTA without closing the others?

Yes. Stop-sell works per building and per channel.

What is a channel manager?

Software that keeps your availability, rates and restrictions the same on every sales channel and brings the channels' bookings back, so a room is never sold twice.
